Releases and product news

v5.2.0

Native IPv6 peering arrives

  • IPv6 direct peering is preferred on dual-stack networks, cutting average link time by a further 9%.
  • A new IPv6 leak protection toggle is on by default, stopping traffic from bypassing the tunnel.
  • IPv6-only networks now translate addresses automatically with no manual gateway setup.
v5.1.4

Exits now schedule per session

  • When an exit congests, only the affected sessions migrate instead of the whole device switching.
  • Peak-hour jitter median fell from 21 ms to 13 ms.
  • Memory use dropped about 12%, which matters for always-on machines.
Notice SA-2026-02

Protocol implementation review complete, no non-standard changes found

An external team reviewed the three protocol implementations and their default parameters against the public specifications.

  • Encryption and key agreement follow the standards without modification.
  • No data channel bypassing the tunnel was found in the client.
  • The scope summary is in the protocol chapter of the guide.
Peering news

Latin America and South Asia peering expansion complete

  • New peering points in São Paulo and Santiago remove two hops on South American routes.
  • Mumbai and Chennai peering bandwidth was expanded, cutting South Asian link time by 18%.
  • Global direct peering points grew from 356 to 412.
v5.1.2

Android TV client released

  • The interface was rebuilt for TVs and set-top boxes, with D-pad navigation and one-tap connect.
  • Streaming uses the high-bandwidth channel by default, cutting 4K time-to-first-frame by 1.3 seconds.
  • Per-app routing means only video apps use the tunnel.
v5.0.7

Routing rules can be imported and exported

  • Rules export to a file and import on another device instead of being rebuilt by hand.
  • Domain matching was added, with a live count of rules being hit.
  • Fixed rule ordering after a client restart on some networks.
